I've decided that every holiday needs a wreath. It makes the front door happy. It makes me happy. It makes the world go round. I went to Michael's on my lunch break earlier this week and spent over an hour diving into aisle after aisle of reds, pinks, papers, frames...there was no end in site. I snagged some pink ribbon, "happy valentine's day" ribbon, white Gerber daisy, Red Heart yarn, "Love" wood lettering, grapevine wreath and that fun little glittered heart. Everything is on sale, and you know you'll have leftover supplies to put towards future projects. I left Michael's after spending about $15, not too shabby.
I'm not normally a pink or red girl but this holiday makes you get a little
crazy with excitement for it! I can't get enough of these yarn flowers from
Yarncat, if you'd like to make some yourself, you can find the crochet pattern
here. The Gerber daisy was a $1 from Michael's, I removed the original yellow center with a sparkly brad for a little bling.

And of course I needed to add some hearts. What's a Valentine's Day wreath without hearts? If you'd like to add some to your home, cards, frames, whatever...you can find a very simple and easy pattern
here from
Geeky Cute Crochet.
