Summer is finally here in Sacramento. Finally. Give me a month (or a week) and I'm sure I will be complaining about the heat and wishing for the return of the rain and chilly days. One thing that is for sure is that I will not wish away summer hair, it's way too much fun. Accessories galore, and what other time of year is it completely acceptable to get compliments for having towel dried - ahem, beach wavesfor your daily do. And my favorite thing about summer hair are the braids, which I personally think can be worn all year long (and sometimes do). Here are my favorites that I've come across so far, the hard part will be deciding which look to pull off each day - they're all pretty easy once you get comfortable with braiding your own hair. Practice really does make perfect...but luckily these braided updo's don't require you to be neat/perfect. Messy is definitely in. I love Carrie Underwood's (above) finger curls and parted braid...
