Andrea's Baby Shower was a HOOT!

I can't wait for Baby Owen, it's so hard to believe that he will finally be here next month - so excited! In honor of his arrival, Andrea's sister and I threw her an owl themed baby shower on Saturday to kick off the excitement. The adorable owl you see to my right is the 6" round cake her sister had specially made from Cake & Candy. Isn't he sooo cute? Well, she had matching cupcakes made to go along with the delicious topper.

Andrea and I getting ready for the shower, saying hi to the little man... I know you're in there!

Starting off with one of the best parts, the dessert table, covered in cupcakes, lollipops, and a small photo op of Owen.

Andrea's sister found an amazing website to order the invitations, and a TON of other items she could buy to coordinate with those invitations - Big Dot of Happiness. The items arrived in great condition and some were even assembled! Oh, and the best part - their emails arrive in the form of rhymes. How cute is that?!

The baby boxes and baby bottles also came from Big Dot of Happiness, along with the pacifier candy - they tasted like sweet tarts!

...along with the canister favor jars (and labels).

Can you guess how many m&m's are in the jar? I'll give you a hint, it's 4 digits. (ps. The font used on all of the display cards can be found here from Kevin and Amanda)

We converted my living room into a banquet hall, worked out pretty well.

We rented the linens, I bought 1 yard of fabric in 3 patterns and made 6 6" runners and scrapbook sheets (from a booklet) for place mats. The same paper was used to cover the water bottle labels. Easy peasy but very colorful.

Hand dyed flowers from Safeway, which was kind enough to stain her sister's hands. Whoopsies, at least they look perdy.

Inspiration for the owl straws comes from Kara's Night Owl Pajama Party! The orange and white striped straws were purchased from Bake It Pretty(they sell out fast, fyi).

Every party needs poofs!

I whipped this up from the scrapbooking paper (for the placemats), border punch for the edging, and wooden letters from Michaels.

Piece of cake. Well, diaper cake that is, using a box Target brand #2 diapers and this great tutorial. The owls are courtesy of Juicy Bits, which are also (non-stuffed) all around the party tables.

This little guy was hand painted using the FolkArt Metallic paints. I really like how vibrant and shiny it turned out and they'll make any project stand out even more. Special thanks to our friend Amy at Mod Podge Rocks for giving us a chance to try these out. I have another special project for these pretty colors, coming soon!

Grandma, also known as TuTu wrapped one of the shower gifts in this custom wrapping paper. Loved it! (especially the telephone rattle)

Who Knows Mommy game, some of the answers from both the guests and mommy-to-be were hysterical!

My favorite onesie of the day!

Guests could design their very own onesie for Owen.

It was a great day, I'm a little sad it's over. I hope you all had a great weekend, talk to you next week!
